- The 68 hour Medication Aide program prepares students to administer medications in Assisted Living Facilities.
Skills students will acquire include:
- Proper procedure for preparing, administering and maintaining medications
- Asepsis
- Basic pharmacology
- Assisting client with self-administration of medication
- Documentation
Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the Virginia State Board of Nursing
competency exam for licensure as Registered Medication Aide.
